That title isn't just about being a magician either. Its been some time since I've blogged anything at all. I am starting this blog in an attempt to help keep me on track of my goals. As I approach the end of my current career, I want to try and fall back on being a magician. It was something I did while in college to put a little money in my pocket from time to time. It helped me break out of my shell so to speak, and interact with people. Plus it was something that I enjoyed doing.
Previous to writing this post, I've already taken steps on my way to accomplishing this goal. Dusted off some of the old props, practising sleight of hand in front of a mirror, and studying various books and DVDs as a form of research to figure out what I want to do for an act. Turns out I had a lot of unopened decks of cards that are still in new condition. I've also been revisiting websites I used to frequent and learned a lot from. Wow how they have grown over the past 10+ years. And yes, I've even been looking up local laws and ordinances for street performing, for when I'm ready to get out in public and hopefully make some money.
So, any words of encouragement, thoughts, criticisms, anything at all that you the reader would like to suggest, I'm open for it, just please keep it clean. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy what I add in the future.
